Close the gap between last period and this one.
Check your wine inventory balances before you file. See each Part I quantity, the records behind it, and every carry-forward difference in one worksheet.
You confirm wine classes, complete the remaining form parts, sign and file. This checks Part I arithmetic only.

One report · one download
A worksheet you can trace.
The ZIP opens on your own computer. Keep it with your records.
Part I draft
Sections A and B, by wine class: opening inventory, increases, decreases and ending inventory. Every quantity cites supplied rows or your explicit zero-activity declaration.
Differences, with the evidence
Column balances, prior endings against current openings, and supported processing transfers. Differences stay visible; ending inventory is never changed to force a balance.
Records for the next period
Your original input, hashes, an offline HTML worksheet, CSV/JSON reconciliation and an opening record marked unfiled. Confirm it only after completing and filing your report.
Prepare your input
Your prior report and current records, together.
One UTF-8 JSON file, up to 2 MiB and 5,000 combined source rows. This is our input format, not a TTB export format. It contains a structured prior filed report and your current spreadsheet saved as CSV text. PDF, XLSX and ZIP files are refused.
1. Identify the report
Use form revision 09/2025, your premises registry number, and inclusive dates for a calendar month, quarter or year. The prior report must end the day before this period starts and name the same premises.
2. Supply the inventory and activity
Prior endings: A31 and B20, columns a–f. Current openings: A1 and B1; current endings: A31 and B20, each exactly once per column. Include all activity rows; omitted activity means you declare zero. Totals are calculated.
3. Use the supported columns
section,line,column,gallons,event_id,note. The first four are required. Alternate names are account,form_line,tax_class,wine_gallons,transaction_id,description. Quantities are nonnegative wine gallons with up to two decimal places; no rounding is applied.
4. Check the declarations
The example is synthetic and contains zero activity. Replace all quantities, dates, labels and registry identifiers from your own records. Confirm prior filing and complete activity only when true.
Processing rows, wine columns and JSON fields
Columns a, b and c represent still wine up to 16%, over 16% through 21%, and over 21% through 24% alcohol. Columns d, e and f are artificially carbonated wine, sparkling wine and hard cider. You determine the correct class. On sparkling-wine A2, A13 and B2 use e.BF or e.BP for bottle-fermented or bulk-process wine. Shaded form cells are refused.
Pair nonzero processing rows by event_id: A3/A18 sweetening, A4/A19 wine spirits, A5/A20 blending, A6/A21 amelioration. Blending needs at least two source classes. Other processes require a process_additions entry with event_id,gallons,source,row naming the measured net volume increase. Unsupported or missing processing evidence is flagged for your answer.
A simple tax-class move uses A10/A24, a shared event identifier, and note exactly Change of tax class on both. Other write-ins are retained and flagged. We do not infer a recipe, loss adjustment or legal classification.
The envelope contains schema_version, form_revision, registry_number, period_start, period_end, part_i_only_acknowledged, complete_activity_rows, prior_report, records_file and records_csv. The prior report carries its registry number, end date, source label, filing confirmation and either structured cells or CSV text under csv. The download shows a complete example.
Before you decide
A defined check.
Your filing decision.
Based on the current form
The worksheet follows TTB F 5120.17sm, revision 09/2025 and its line instructions. We retain hundredths from your records. TTB permits whole gallons on the report; taxable-removal records have a separate precision rule.
What you still complete
All form parts outside Part I, tax classifications, reporting frequency, signatures and filing. No excise-tax calculation, spirits reports, government account access or acceptance guarantee. Even a balanced worksheet cannot establish that your source records are complete.
Your copies and your control
Files transfer only after your consent. Uploads expire seven days after transfer; results expire seven days after delivery, or sooner when you request deletion. Save your own copies. Our retention window does not replace your recordkeeping duties under 27 CFR 24.300.
